Route: Warsaw – Krakow – Oswiecim – Wroclaw – Dresden – Torgau – Berlin – Nuremberg – Munich

 

Day 1

Day 1: Arrival to Warsaw on your own, accommodation in a hotel and overnight stay.

 

 

Day 2:

breakfast. Our city break of Warsaw will start with meeting the local guide. Warsaw is the capital, the largest city and also the political, economic, cultural centre of Poland. During the World War II the city was totally destroyed but have been reconstructed in post-war times. In sightseeing program: the beautiful Old Town with the Castle Square and Zygmunt Column, the Old Town Square with the statue of the famous mermaid, the Cathedral Of St. John – one of the oldest churches in Warsaw, built in 14th-century. After that visiting the Palace of Culture and Science – the tallest building in Poland with the terrace on the 30th. Next visiting the Museum of the Warsaw Rising with the historical exhibitions about World War II showing how Poland was fighting for freedom. Overnight stay in Warsaw.

Day 3:

breakfast. Departure from Warsaw to Krakow. The sightseeing of Krakow with local guide. The tour includes visiting the Main Market Square where are located Sukiennice – the famous Clock Hall from 13th-century, the St. Mary’s Church with the Wit Stwosz beautiful gothic altar inside, the Wawel Royal Castle – historic museum and former residence of Polish kings. At the Royal Cathedral on Wawel Hill there is famous Zygmunt’s Bell. In the evening the stroll ariound Kazimierz – the former Jewish district of Krakow. Overnight in Krakow.

Day 4:

breakfast. Departure from Krakow to Oswiecim. Visiting the former Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau (3-hour tour) – Memorial of murdered Jews during the World War II. Transfer to Wroclaw. A stroll around the Old Town with the magnificent gothic Town Hall erected in  the 13th century and many picturesque renaissance and baroque tenement houses. The Old Town in general is one of the main landmarks of the city. After that, we take a walk to the Ostrow Tumski – the oldest part of the city with many churches and above all, with the beautiful St. John the Baptist Cathedral from 1241 – it’s the first entirely gothic monument in Poland. Overnight stay in Wroclaw.

Day 5:

breakfast. Departure from Wroclaw towards border with Germany. Arrival to Dresden in Saxony in Eastern Germany. A walking tour with local guide. Visiting from the outside the Zwinger Palace built in Rococo style, the Semper Opera House in baroque style from 19th-century, completely destroyed during the World War II and reconstructed. Next in our tour is the Royal Palace and Procession of Princess – the street art telling story of aristocracy of Saxony. Overnight stay in Dresden.

Day 6:

breakfast. Departure from Dresden to Berlin. On the way stop in Torgau – the city where took place the meeting of US and Soviet Russia during the World War II. Arrival to Berlin – the capital of Germany, with local guide. The program of visiting included: Kurfürstendamm – the main street, the Reichstag – the parliament building, the Brandenburg Gate, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Charlottenburg Palace – palace and park complex, Siegessäule – the Victory Column in Berlin with a height of 67 meters. After that visit in the protestant church of Kaiser Wilhelm and drive along Unter den Linden boulevard where are located the German State Opera House and Checkpoint Charlie – a famous border crossing point during the Cold War. Overnight stay in Berlin.

Day 7:

breakfast. Continuation of tour around Germany. Leaving Berlin. Transfer to Nuremberg – the city famous for trials after the World War II. Visiting the Memorium Nuremberg Trials and Courtroom 600, where trials of crimes against peace and humanity took place. Next the walking tour around city, during which you will see the Old Town with beautiful architecture from medieval times, St. Sebald Church and the 14th-century fountain. Overnight stay in Nuremberg.

Day 8:

breakfast. Travel from Nuremberg to Munich. After arrival meeting with your local guide. All day sightseeing of Munich. Visiting the Church of St. Peter – one of the most beautiful churches and well-known as one of the main landmarks of Munich. A stroll around the English Garden – one of the largest urban parks in Central Europe. During the day you will see the Residence in the city centre of Munich, former residence of Bavarian aristocracy and emperors. Overnight stay in Munich.

Day 9:

breakfast. Departure from Munich to your country on your own. The end of Following the World War II tour.
