Route: Vienna – Bratislava – Devin – Trencin – Krakow

 

Day 1

Arrival to Vienna. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation and overnight stay in Vienna. 

 

 

Day 2:

breakfast. City break of Vienna. The tour along the elegant street Ringstrasse, beautiful building of the MAK (Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art). You will see the State Opera House – the main theatre in Vienna, the Museums Quartier – the district where is the Natural History Museum and Museum of Fine Art with exhibition of the Habsburgs – former royal family of Austria. Next visiting the Hofburg Palace (from outside) – winter residence of the Habsburgs with its famous square Heldenplatt, the building of Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater, built in 18th-century. Next stop is the Schonbrunn Palace – summer residence of the Austrian Emperor. Inside visiting the showrooms. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 3:

breakfast. Departure from Vienna to Bratislava – the capital of the Slovak Republic. Free time for shopping or stroll on your own around the city to discover its beauty. Bratislava is the political, economic and cultural centre of country. Overnight stay in Bratislava.

Day 4:

breakfast. Sightseeing of Bratislava starts with meeting with your local guide. Visiting the medieval Old Town, Saint Martin’s Cathedral – one of the tallest church in city, built in 12th-centrury, neoclassical Primate’s Palace located near the Main Square. Nowadays in the palace there is a museum. It is famous for Hall of Mirrors, tapestries from English, sparkling crystal chandeliers and portraits of Habsburg royalty. Upstairs is possible to see beautiful panorama of the Bratislava’s Old Town. After this we cruise to Devin – the partially reconstructed ancient ruins of fortress and castle, declared a National Heritage Site. The Devin Castle was important strategic fortification in the Middle Ages. Cruise back to Bratislava. Overnight stay.

Day 5:

breakfast. Departure from Bratislava to Krakow – one of the oldest cities and former capital of Poland. On the way visiting the Trencin castle – the National Cultural Monument of the Slovak Republic and one of the largest castles in Europe. After arrival to Krakow and accommodation in hotel, the free time for shopping or stroll around the city. Overnight stay in Krakow.

Day 6:

breakfast. Sightseeing the Krakow with local guide. The stroll around Old Town with Sukiennice – the medieval Cloth Hall. Visiting the Gothic St. Mary’s Church with altar made by Wit Stwosz. You will have a chance to see from the outside the Wawel Royal Castle (State Rooms, Crown Treasury and Armoury) – the residence of Polish kings. At the Royal Cathedral situated on Wawel Hill there is a well-known bell in Poland – Zygmunt’s Bell and the Tombs of the Kings. Then walking tour of the Kazimierz – district of Krakow’s Old Town. Overnight stay in Krakow.

 

Day 7:

after breakfast departure from Krakow to your country. The end of tour from Vienna to Krakow.
