Day 1

arrival to Katowice airport. Our city break starts in the heart of Upper Silesia – Katowice. Walk through the city centre: Mickiewicza Street, Stawowa Street, 3-go Maja Street, Młyńska Street – with numerous historic buildings. Afterwards, we will visit Nikiszowiec – a unique settlement built for miners, Wilson Shaft Gallery and Giszowiec – colony of the “Giesche” and „garden town”. Drive to Tychy – visit to the brewery, degustation of the polish beer Tyskie. Overnight stay.

Day 2

breakfast. We start the day by visiting Tarnowskie Góry – Silver Mine and Black Trout Adit. In the silver mine you will see amazing labyrinth of underground pavements. Most of the mine preserved its original appearance from 18th and 19th century. Then visit to Zabrze – coal mine “Guido”, one of the most popular tourist attractions. The “Railway” shaft (diameter of 4m) is equipped with a “Berlin” hoisting machine from 1927, which transports visitors to the levels 170m and 320m below the ground level. It is worth noting that this is still the original machine from 1927, subject to ongoing maintenance only. Afterwards, a visit to the Coal Mining Museum.
