Route: Wrocław – Czestochowa – Kraków – Wieliczka – Zakopane

Day 1

arrival to Wroclaw, our trip starts with the stroll around the Old Town with the magnificent, gothic Town Hall erected in 13th century and many picturesque renaissance and baroque tenement houses. The Old Town in general is one of the main landmarks of the city. After that, we take a walk to the Ostrow Tumski – the oldest part of the city with many churches and above all, with the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist from 1241 – it’s the first totally gothic monument in Poland. Overnight stay in Wroclaw.

Day 2

breakfast and drive to Czestochowa – the most important pilgrimage place in Poland, and one of the most famous in the Europe. The city of Czestochowa is very often called as a spiritual capital of our country. Visiting the monastery of Our Lady of Jasna Gora with miraculous image of Black Madonna. There is a legend saying, that the icon was painted by Luke the Evangelist himself. Pope John Paul II visited that saint place many times, as well as Pope Benedict XVI. After that, transfer to hotel and accommodation. Overnight stay in Czestochowa.

Day 3

after breakfast, transfer to Krakow. The city has its own, unique, historical charm and is well known as a Royal City – not without a reason. Until the late 17th century, it was a capital city and a residence city of the Polish kings. We take a walk through the Old Town with the Market Square one of the biggest in Europe, famous Cloth Hall (from 13th century) and Saint Mary’s Church with the Wit Stwosz’s beautiful, gothic altar inside. After that, we stroll around Jagiellonian University district: Collegium Maius with its gothic arcades, expanded in reneissance style. It’s the second oldest university in Central Europe. Then, we see imitiation of the building of Big Opera in Paris – Juliusz Slowacki Theatre. For the last stop of the day, we visit Kazimierz – unique, former jewish district. Overnight stay in Krakow.

Day 4

breakfast. After that, meeting with the city guide and visiting  Wawel Royal Castle with Royal Cathedral and Royal Appartments. Whole Royal complex is placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is the place of a great importance to Polish people and to the polish state in general. It was the residence of the Polish kings, many important historic events took place there. In the Royal Cathedral we can see the most famous bell in Poland – Zygmunt’s Bell, as well as the burial site in the St. Leonard’s crypth with many tombs of kings, poets and tragically died President Kaczynski. Leisure time in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Krakow.

Day 5

after breakfast, visiting Wieliczka Salt Mine – another place which is included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Located in distance of 15 km from Krakow, Wieliczka is mainly famous from having one of the oldest active salt mines in Europe. It’s been operating from 13th century until now! During our underground tour, we can see many richly decorated salt chambers with carvings and statues, beautifully illuminated staircases, and above all – Chapel of St.Kinga which needed over 30 years to be completed and over 20000 tons of rock salt had to be removed. Then, drive to Zakopane. Overnight stay in Zakopane.

Day 6

breakfast. During winter, Zakopane’s becoming the “capital city of Poland” with numerous ski slopes and charming residences typical to this region. Meeting with guide and sightseeing – Tatra Mountain’s Museum, the Old Cemetery, walking by Krupowki street – the Zakopane’s representative street with many restaurants and shops. Then, we make a visit to Chochołow village with its extremely attractive wooden architecture. After that, we take a cable-car onto Gubałowka Hill.  Overnight stay.

Day 7
